Hannah Robert on ‘The Bereavement Gap: Grief, Human Dignity and Legal Personhood in the Debate over Zoe’s Law’

In a recent article in the Journal of Law and Medicine, 2014, Volume 22, Issue 2, Hannah Robert from the La Trobe Law School examines how the Crimes Amendment (Zoe’s Law) Bill 2013 (NSW) seeks to extend “legal personhood to the fetus for a limited number of offences”. Hannah has previously written about Zoe’s Law on The Conversation and spoken about the topic on ABC radio.  In her latest article Hannah asks “what the perspective of a grieving mother can bring to the debate, in terms of helping the criminal law accurately come to grips with the complexity of pregnancy and the specific harm of fetal loss”.
