ALHR on Cuts to Legal Services in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities

Australian Lawyers for Human Rights (ALHR) has joined 26 other prominent signatories in an open letter to the Prime Minister requesting that he urgently reverse the proposed funding cuts to legal assistance services under the Attorney General’s portfolio, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Services (ATSILS), its peak body National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Services (NATSILS), Community Legal Centres (CLCs) and the Legal Aid Commissions (LAC). You can read further information about their campaign on the ALHR website.

The Secretariat of the Australian Lawyers for Human Rights is hosted at the La Trobe Law School.
