Inequality of access to legal services is a significant problem in Australia. What role can law schools play in meeting legal needs? These are the burning questions of the 2015 ALTA conference edition. With the Honourable Michael Kirby AC CMG, Assistant Professor Elizabeth Tobin Tyler, and academics from all over Australia discussing legal education and access to justice, it promises to be an engaging three days.
A full overview of the conference can be found here.
The event will take place at the La Trobe University Law School city campus from the 16th until the 18th of July. It will provide an opportunity for law teachers to share their diverse experiences and expertise in providing clinical legal education, service-learning opportunities and pro bono service to our communities locally, nationally and internationally. Law teachers will have the chance to share knowledge and best practice in the rapidly changing legal education environment.
We look forward to seeing you there!
