The Evolving Project of Labour Law

La Trobe Law School academics Jill Murray and Anthony O’Donnell have been invited to address a workshop celebrating 21 years of the Centre for Employment and Labour Relations Law at the University of Melbourne. The one and a half day workshop will explore how labour law scholarship in Australia has evolved and where it is going, including with respect to its focus and concerns, boundaries, methodologies and approaches.

Anthony will speak on the theme ‘From Labour Law to Labour Market Regulation’ while Jill will offer a perspective on international and comparative labour law.

Both Jill and Anthony are former Research Fellows of the Centre and are currently associate members. The workshop on 4 – 5 February 2016 offers an exciting opportunity to bring together past and present Centre members and other leading Australian researchers in the field of labour law to recognise the work of the Centre and to reflect on the past, present and future of the study of labour law in Australia.
