On 2 May 2017, Associate Professor Sara Smyth joined Damien Carrick on ABC Radio National’s Law Report to talk about how groups like the military, police, terror groups and criminals currently use drones, and how drones might be used in the future for good or for bad.
On the show Associate Professor Sara Smyth said:
[…] as a military weapon [drones] can only be used in accordance with international law, including international humanitarian and human rights law. And essentially that means that the use of force can only be exercised lawfully under international law.
