Associate Professor Fiona Kelly was an invited speaker at the Talking Justice conference at the Ulumbarra Theatre in Bendigo. In its the fourth year, Talking Justice brings together some of the country’s finest writers, lawyers, activists and commentators tackle some of our more vexing social and legal dilemmas. Associate Professor Kelly presented at the session “Are we doing enough to protect transgender children?” She reported on her empirical research on the impact of the mandatory Family Court approval process for Stage 2 hormone treatment on transgender adolescents and their families.
